Wow - I turn around and I haven't blogged in almost an entire month again. I think it might have somethign to do with the fact that I've never been good with journaling, and blogging is basically journaling, but doing it in a formet that is public. I mean, wasn't blogging originally so your frinds could keep up with what you were doing and what was going on in your life if you didn't get to speak with them very often? Now it seems that so much of it has gotten trendy and become a socio-political morass - something that allows everyone to become an e-journalist. Well, that's what the hip blogs are. My blogs not hip though, so I guess I don;t have to worry about any of that stuff. That being said, I still would like to keep it better. Even if no one else reads it, it is a good memory marker for myself.
Take today for example - some friends of ours decided to bless us and come over to help us with yardwork. They would have just worked on weeds out front and never even let us know they were they, except their little girl Rachel (in my most recent buzznet post) had to sue the restroom. Anyway, they came over and helped weed and clean the yard for about two and a half hours. Valorie and Darrin homeschool, and one thing Valorie was wanting to teach the kids (summer time, no regular schooling going on) was service, so she brought them over to help - they're all pretty young - I think the oldest is 10. It was a totally unexpected and wonderful surprise. A real blessing, to say the least.
So see, it's these kind of things I want to blog - movies and all the other little things of life don't really mean all that much - they're just "stuff" that we fill up with. Too often though, they seem to be the only things we have. It's kind of like middle school children always eating junk food - it leads to all kinds of health problems. Real life stuff though, the stuff that actually affect your living - that's health food - not only good for you, but it also tastes great, nd I want more of it.
